The Library of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU) has partnered with Lean Library to offer a free tool that supports easier access to online information (articles, e-books, databases) for which the library has a license as well as open access.

What is Lean Library?

Lean Library Access is a browser extension that works with the VU Library's systems to give you seamless access when working away from campus. Once downloaded, you'll be alerted via a pop-up message if you are looking for something your library can give you access to, including articles, eBooks, and other subscriptions. If the library can't help, we will also try to direct you to an open access version of what you are looking for if it exists elsewhere.

How?

Just download the browser extension and select Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU) to access VU Library's subscription and start using and browsing library content wherever you are studying or researching.
